I am a Licensed Massage Therapist that weaves the Yin and Yang of life into my practice. The Yin (feminine, receptive) aspect flows through my intuitive gifts—my ability to hear the whispers of the Heart of your body and to act as a conduit for your guides to speak to you. The Yang (masculine, creative) aspect is expressed through my love of athletics, the human anatomy, and my passion for maintaining functional movement and posture as we age. With over ten years of experience as a mat Pilates and Vinyasa Yoga instructor and student, I practice educating my clients about their bodies to increase their self-awareness and provide them with tools for self-maintenance in between sessions.
My work is a mix of Swedish, deep tissue and Thai massage, and Craniosacral and Polarity therapies. In every intuitively guided session, I use a blend of essential oils and crystals, chosen specifically for each client, to promote balance on the physical and energetic levels and raise the vibrational level of your healing. I believe that the body is not separate from the mind, heart and soul. With that understanding, we can change the physical patterns caused by past traumas with an integrated approach that helps to heal the whole self.

Amanda is thrilled to be sharing her massage practice at Bonfire Hot Yoga! She is a light-hearted goofball, certified yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist.  Amanda completed her 200 HR yoga teacher training course at Pure Yoga NYC in 2014. Teaching yoga and learning from the best teachers in the city catapulted Amanda into her dharma as a practitioner of the healing arts. From there she decided to learn massage therapy and has been building her private practice in Portland/Beaverton OR since February 2017. Her work combines yoga philosophy, western massage techniques and Ayurvedic principles to meet her clients with presence and intention. Her offerings include deep tissue, myofascial release, sports massage, Swedish, intuitive touch, yoga Nidra and yoga therapy. The ultimate principle Amanda lives by (besides laughing loud and often) is that touch and rest together promote profound healing and self-awareness that inevitably result in positive lifestyle choices; known as “The Art of Relaxing”. We don’t need any more forms of hypnotism in our world to bring forth positive change; we need to listen to the wisdom of our own bodies.
